Pharmacy reagents: Legal certainty and precision in accordance with ApBetrO
The testing of raw materials is one of the fundamental pillars of pharmaceutical quality assurance. In every pharmacy, identity testing in accordance with the German Pharmacy Operating Regulations (ApBetrO) ensures that only flawless substances are processed into medicines or dispensed. This is not only a legal obligation, but also a central aspect of drug therapy safety (AMTS) and patient protection.
At Köhler Labor, we know that everyday work in formulation and compounding laboratories is often hectic. This makes it all the more important that you can rely 100% on your chemicals and reagents. We offer a comprehensive, carefully compiled range of pharmacy reagents that is precisely tailored to the current requirements of pharmacopoeia analysis. Whether you are looking for individual indicators, ready-to-use measuring solutions, or complete reagent sets for a new opening, we are your partner.
Quality that meets the highest standards (Ph. Eur. & ACS)
Compromises in quality have no place in a pharmacy laboratory. Our reagents strictly comply with the globally applicable quality criteria for pharmacopoeia analysis. We guarantee you:
- Compliance with ApBetrO: All reagents are specially selected for testing in accordance with the current German Pharmacy Operating Regulations.
- Highest purity levels: We only supply products in Reag. Ph. Eur. (reagents according to the European Pharmacopoeia) and ACS Standard (American Chemical Society) qualities. This means you are on the safe side, even during the most stringent audits.
- Complete documentation: Batch conformity and traceability are a matter of course for us.

Not sure which set is right for your pharmacy? Give us a call—we will be happy to advise you based on your inventory and testing plans.
Safety and labeling according to GHS (CLP)
Handling hazardous substances requires the utmost care. Since the introduction of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), new rules apply to the labeling of chemicals. In many cases, old stocks with orange hazard symbols are no longer permitted or pose a risk during official pharmacy inspections.
At Köhler Labor, you can obtain reagents that are guaranteed to comply with current legislation:
- New pictograms: All containers bear the current GHS hazard pictograms (red and white diamond).
- H and P statements: The hazard statements and precautionary statements are correct and clearly legible on the labels.
- Signal words: Clear labeling with "Danger" or "Caution."
Our service for your documentation
To help you minimize bureaucratic effort in the pharmacy, we offer helpful accessories:
- Pharmacy reagents CD: Contains all current safety data sheets (SDS) in accordance with GHS/GLP. When ordering a complete set, this CD is included free of charge!
- Hazardous Substances Index: A practical index in DIN A4 format with spiral binding. It contains the new pictograms as well as H and P statements in text format and has an eyelet for space-saving wall mounting in the laboratory.
- Label set: 273 labels with current classification (GHS/REACH) in three different sizes – ideal for labeling your laboratory containers in a uniform and legally compliant manner.
